One of the biggest fat loss pitfalls we witness is a disconnect from a personal fitness purpose. And I'm not talking the destination bikini body or the ever-elusive pound loss goal. Most of us are well-connected with our desire to look less FLAB and more FAB.
I'm talking about the smaller goals that help us get to the gym or outside moving each day.
"So I can eat chips and still fit in my jeans!"
Yep, that came straight from the mouth of one of our most faithful F[r]iends. This girl juggles a full time job, two small kids, sports, school functions and still manages to sweat her booty off 4-5 times a week at F[r]. (For those of you who are trying to guess, she has a snarky sense of humor and her pretty face flashes a signature scowl at the sight of my crazy barre protocols or Orion's latest burpee variation.)
What makes her stay the course? Are her stressors different than ours?
She has a clear sense of purpose. Most importantly, SHE defined it. Reasons, however small, drive the process and keep you going. As much as we want to get to the result, our success is determined by how well we engage in and embrace the process.
